TINA/Spice/AFE031: Pspice model of AFE031

Part Number: AFE031
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI,

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

hello,

    the PSpice model of AFE031 has the following ports

where can i get data on the ports and using the model.

Thanks

  • Raviteja,

    I am not sure if I understand your question 100%.. but to get the model, you can go here:
    www.ti.com/.../slam240

    Once you open the zip file, there will be file called "AFE031.LIB". Then you can link this netlist text model into your symbol.

    Hope this helps,
    Herman
  • hello,

    what are VINM and VINP pins , i assumed Vcc to be 15V and Vee to be ground is this correct. is there any documentation on configuring this model to DAC mode or PWM mode as you can do with AFE031.

    Thanks
  • Yes, VCC is 15V and VEE is 0V.

    We don't have documentation on how to configure this model to DAC mode or PWM mode.

    If you open the .LIB, this model is a very limited model of AFE031 that models only as shown in the header of the .LIB shown here:

    *****************************************************************************
    * Notes:
    * This macromodel is to model the open loop power amplifier of AFE031.
    *
    * To create the nominal closed loop gain of -6.5V/V, the customer will have
    * to use RG=20k, RF=130k, and to bias the positive terminal of the amplifier
    * to mid supply (VS/2)
    *
    * The open loop power amplifier macro model, model the following paramaters:
    * Input voltage range, Bandwidth, Slew Rate, Output Swing, output current
    * limit, Gain Error.
    *****************************************************************************

    The VINM and VINP are the input to the power amplifier portion of AFE031 as shown in the attached picture.
