DLP4500NIR: what does thermally limited means?

Part Number: DLP4500NIR

Hello Guys,

Good day.

Datasheet suggests that  for illumination between 700nm to 2500nm, the max power is thermally limited. What does this mean? If a customer want to use a laser of 1064nm on the DMD, and the power would be something like 40W/cm^2. Is that okay? Is there an absorption spectrum for this device anywhere?

Thanks and regards,

Art
