DLP9500: How to control the micromirrors on both sides of the DMD?

In application,it is found that there has been about 10 x 1080 array of micromirrors  on both sides of the DMD. How to control these micromirrors to open and close?

    If you refer to the DMD Datasheet, you will find that there is a 10 Micromirror array boarder around the DMD called the "Pond of micromirrors (POM)".  The POM is not addressable and cannot be turned on.  They are electrically biased to be kept in the off state.
