DLP2010: Assistance in signing NDA and SLA to acquire DLP Composer tool.

  • Hello Vladimir,

It is not common that we give out composer licenses to customers unless you can show intent to use significant volume of DLP chips. And most firmware changes desired by customers are simple and we can create them for you in a short time.

Can you give us details on what you desire composer for?

    regards,

    Arthur Brown

  • Hello Arthur,

The goal of the development is to create a device very similar to a 3D scanner, but performing slightly different tasks.
It is necessary to create a spatial filter that can be implemented using micromirror matrices. It is supposed to work only with a monochromatic (black / white or grayscale) light source. To do this, you need to clearly position each micromirror in a static position. I understand that this will not work 100%, and the micromirrors will periodically switch to the global reset mode.
With the help of a dynamically tunable filter (made with a micromirror matrix), different configurations of pictures with a monochrome image will be created. Additionally, it will be necessary to resolve the issue of synchronizing the switching of micromirrors with a video camera. The main source of radiation is laser in the visible and IR wavelength range.
This development is carried out by me at the Russian Technological University in Moscow (former name: Moscow Institute of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation), at the Department of Electronic Devices and Devices.

    Best regards Zhukov Vladimir

  • Hello Vladimir,

Thank you for patience.  We will communicate this information internally and get back to by middle of next week.

    regards,

    Vivek

  • Vladimir,

For the time being, I believe you should pursue the firmware builds (either the standard 3470 FW or the 3470 Red-LED-Only FW available via the DLP Pico Firmware Selector Tool: https://software-dl.ti.com/dlp/pico-fw-selector/

Given the above application, it is not clear that DLP Composer is actually necessary to support this kind of application on this chipset.

    Regards,
