DLP660TE-SW: DLP660TE-9.0, Support for XPR Actuator function

Part Number: DLP660TE-SW
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPDLCR660TEVM, DLPLCRDC4422EVM, DLP660TE, DLPC4422

Hi  TI engine,

When using  DLPDLCR660TEVM and DLPLCRDC4422EVM  development board, We encountered some problems in use.

Use environment

Hardware: DLPDLCR660TEVM ,DLPLCRDC4422EVM and usb cable

sofeware:  DLPC4422 GUI 1.0,  DLP660TE_Chipset_Firmware_v9.0(DLP660TE_chipset_FPGA.rpd and Flash_DUAL_DLPC4422_DLP660TE_LED.img)

Add new Function

We want to add the XPR function to the existing conditions.  Is EVM board supported?

If supported

1 Which manufacturer's XPR Actuator does Ti recommend ?

2 With the addition of XPR function, does the existing img file support it? If not, what should we do?

3 Can Ti provide project files and let us produce img files ourselves.

We look forward to your reply, thanks.

  • Hello Wengang Gao,

The information on your post is not coming through on my browser.

Would you be able to provide more information for your issue?

    Thank you,

  • Hi  Matt,

When using  DLPDLCR660TEVM and DLPLCRDC4422EVM  development board, We want to add XPR function.

    Use environment

Hardware: DLPDLCR660TEVM ,DLPLCRDC4422EVM and usb cable

    sofeware:  DLPC4422 GUI 1.0,  DLP660TE_Chipset_Firmware_v9.0(DLP660TE_chipset_FPGA.rpd and Flash_DUAL_DLPC4422_DLP660TE_LED.img)

    Current situation

1 Does the current system support XPR? if support, Which XPR product should we use?

2 We are currently using img files on TI's website. There are no 'project files'. Can we provide the relevant 'project files' for DLP composer ?

    Look forward to your reply.

    Thanks

  • HI Silas,

Yes, this HW and SW should support XPR. Let me check with the team here and reply with a support plan.

    Thank you,

    Matt

  • Hi Matt,

         Thank you for your reply.

I'm looking forward to your support plan. When can you give it? We are ready to formulate any follow-up work.

         thanks.

    Silas

  • Hi Silas,

As Matt mentioned, this HW can support XPR. However, the HW and SW combination provided on ti.com is intended for customers to familiarize themselves with the chipset solutions using some of the available control commands while experiencing how images are displayed on the DMD. If you are considering developing a full projector based on the DLPC4422 with any of the compatible DMDs then feel free to send me a friend request so that we can discuss offline the best path to proceed.

    Thanks,

    Mike
