DLPA100: To control two motors

Hi TI,

As you know, in the reference design of DLPC4340, it controls one CW motor with DLPA100.

I know it would be a special case but my optical team requested me to control two motors for a color wheel and a phosphor wheel separately.

Is it possible to make configuration to control two motors, using DLPC4340 and two DLPA100 chips?

Katagiri-san,

I do not believe we have a DLP® Controller called DLPC4340. Are you asking about the DLPC3430? Can you clarify what product you are inquiring about?

Thank you for your reply.

I was introduced to DLPC3440 through TI Japan.

A couple of projector systems have already been made and are actually working with this chipset in my lab.

I still don't get a clear answer about two motors support from TI Japan so I inquired in this forum.

The datasheet number is DLPS080A –APRIL 2017–REVISED MAY 2019.

The Orderable Device code is DLPC3440CZEZ.

I don't believe that the DLPC3440 chipset is designed for this sort of application by default. You may need to generate your own control signals based on the normal color wheel control signals provided with the system's sequence.

The DLPC3440 does not support a configuration with two DLPA100s.
