Hi,

I used to work with the discovery 4100 explorer on an old workstation, where it worked just fine.

When I try to install it on a new computer I get the following error message during installation:

Than the installation terminates with the following message:

"Error executing post installation script
regsvr32
\Program ended with an error exit code"

When I tried to run "C:\Windows\SysWOW64> regsvr32 DDC4100.ocx" in the CMD window as suggested in this thread I got the following:

I would appreciate any help on this.

    Hello Ronen,

    This error is actually very misleading.  This is actually a vcredist problem.  

    Please look for the 2010 vcredist_x86.exe from Microsoft (note the "bit-ness" is dependent on the program not the OS).

    Try installing it and reboot.  Then try re-installing.
