DLP9000: Mirror Clocking Pulse

Part Number: DLP9000
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPLCR90EVM, DLPA200

Hi,

I am currently working with the DLPLCR90EVM. The intro to 12 deg Digital Micromirror devices guide talks about a mirror clocking pulse that changes the mirror according to the data loaded into the CMOS memory. Is there a location I can probe to see this signal?

  • Hello Jonathan,

Welcome to the DLP section of the TI E2E forums.

The 12 degree Digital Micromirror devices guide was written when all of our devices were driven by an external analog driver (such as the DLPA200).  The EVM you mention employs a DMD that moves all of that function inside the DMD.  Therefore you will not find an analog driver in the EVM system.

Since all the functionality is moved inside the DMD there is no way to probe the mirror clocking pulses.

Is there something you are attempting to accomplish that you were wanting to probe this signal?
