I have used this DLPDLCR2010EVM for a period of time, and it still works normally at first, but suddenly there are some problems that make it unable to use normally. At present, DLPDLCR2010EVM can normally switch and project the startup screen, but other functions are basically unavailable, such as the function buttons on the board. Unable to realize the change of the control screen, and the display content cannot be projected when the HDMI interface is inserted. The screen is always the boot screen, and no program or hardware has been modified during use.

Thanks for your summary. Do you have any issues operating the GUI for this device? I am referring to the one at https://www.ti.com/tool/DLPLCRD-GUI

Have you made any modifications to the system, such as upgrading firmware or modifying MSP430 code?

No software is used to upgrade the firmware or modify the code. During use, it basically only uses the function of HDMI projecting pictures.

Thanks for the confirmation. What about the GUI I linked above? What kind of behavior do you see using that? Are you able to perform read/write transactions?

Even without this software, the most basic HDMI projection can not be realized.

This should be able to directly project the computer screen by connecting the HDMI interface to the computer. It is currently impossible to do this.

Kai Nan,

You are correct that under normal circumstances, the system should automatically switch to HDMI output when a source is plugged in. However, given that this is not the case I recommend using the GUI to check system status registers in order to help debug what the problem may be.

My picture shows that the HDMI port is connected, but the output is still the boot screen, and now its projection lamp sometimes fails to light up

Regarding the software check you mentioned, I have never used it to modify it. How can its program or firmware go wrong?

Kai Nan,

I recommend you verify that something hasn't gone wrong with your video source first. However, if it is the case that the video source is OK then I agree with applying for replacement unit.

In addition to the above, I would note that this EVM has reached end of life (EOL) so I cannot guarantee that new units will be available. I apologize for the inconvenience if that is the case.

I tried several computers to output video. Before, these computers have successfully connected to EVM and output video, but now they can’t achieve it, so I can be sure that there is no problem with the video source.
