DLPDLCR4710EVM-G2: LED replacement

Part Number: DLPDLCR4710EVM-G2

Hello,

The LEDs used in DLPDLCR4710EVM-G2 are Osram P1W LEDs, which are discontinued.

Could the original Osram LE B P1W LED in DLPDLCR4710EVM-G2 be replaced by LE B P1MQ LED, which has a forward voltage of ~7 Volts?

If not, what are the proper replacements for Osram P1W LEDs?

Thanks!

  • Hi Yu Chuan,

Few of the main parameters to look into for LEDs are the their shape(usually determines the f number of the lens) and the electrical characteristics.

Since the shape is the same of both the LEDs you described, there shouldn't be any problem in replacing P1W  LED with P1MQ LED.

Also changes in the electrical characteristics might lead to some changes in brightness levels.

    Regards
