Hi TI Support

I made the board with DLP3010+DLPC3478+DLPA3000. The operation test was conducted, and I2C communication works normally, but the LED does not turn on. Firmware was downloaded from "">software-dl.ti.com/.../" site as DLPC3478+DLPA3000_AC+Option1(Default)+0x36(default)+8.00 and used. Do I need to receive a separate firmware and use it? Or is the firmware I got from the above site valid? If it's not a firmware problem, can I get a schematic for reference? I couldn't find a schematic for the above combination. Please answer about my question. Thank you.

Hello Jiahui,

I think we will have to first narrow down to see why the LEDs are not getting turned on. Can you check the output of Status commands, RGB LED enable command?

Also, please let us know the part number of the DMD that you are using - is it DLP3010 or DLP3010LC. If it is DLP3010, please go through the following FAQ -

Hi Mayank Khandelwal.

Jiahui Gao posted a question on my behalf.

DMD is DLP3010LC.

CMD is normally transferred from the external MCU to the DLPC3478.

What more should I check?

DLP3010EVM_LC operating normally, the voltage between GND and LED ANODE is about 5V. However, the board using the self-made DLPA3000 measures about 1.8V.

Are you seeing any errors reflected by the status commands? Can you share the output of those commands with us?

I tried sending the Read System Status (D1h) CMD to check the status.
The reply was all ok.

The LED problem has been resolved. The cause was an update to add a pattern file to the firmware image with the EVM GUI tool.
If so, it is assumed that the dlpa2005 firmware and dlpa3000 firmware structures are different.
I would like to know how to use the splash pattern and internal pattern in the dlpa3000 firmware and the structure of the firmware.
Where is this information?

Hello Woojoo,

The structure of the firmware is roughly same for all hardware configurations supported by DLPC3478. The following FAQ will give you more information about Intenral Pattern and Splash Pattern displays -
