DLP3010LC: Some question about DLP3010

Part Number: DLP3010LC
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC350

Dear Expert

Now I have another question for you: our company uses DLP4500A + DLPC350, and LED lighting uses three red, green and blue lights. If the central wavelength of 850nm infrared lamp is used as the light source, can DLP4500A support it perfectly? What is the window transmittance?

  • Hello Gabriel,

Welcome to DLP forum and thank you for your interest in DLP technology.

To clarify, your company is using the DLP4500A DMD (DLP4500AFQD or DLP4500AFQE).

    Thank you,

    John

  • Hello Gabriel,

Thank you for your patience.  The following application note has detailed information about the transmittance of the DMD window.

    https://www.ti.com/lit/an/dlpa031e/dlpa031e.pdf

The DLP4500A DMD uses  Corning Eagle XG material and please refer to the curve for visible coating.

At 850nm the DMD window efficiency will be ~85%. The DMD should be OK.   The efficiency of the optical components used in the optical engine may have a bigger impact on efficiency.

The optical engine is sourced from third-party and we don't have similar information for the components used  in the engine.

    regards,

    Vivek
