DLPNIRNANOEVM: Inquiry

Part Number: DLPNIRNANOEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP006

Hi,

Good Day. I have a customer who is working with DLPNIRNANOEVM. Please see below his query for your reference. Thank you very much.

I met some troubles when using DLP Nanoscan Nano EVM. The GUI is reporting temperature sensor error. When I clicked on the temperature error light it displayed “TMP006 error: I2C error.”

Earlier today there was a "TMP006 error: write register error".

I was wondering about the NIR penetration depth of DLP NIRscan Nano EMV. I would like to use it for quantitative analysis of the pharmaceutical compound in tablets. Does it only scan the surface of the substance or it can measure things deeper?

I was also curious about the distance between the sample and the lens.

Best Regards,

Ray Vincent

  • Hello Ray,
Welcome back to the E2E forum!

Can you confirm that you have a solid connection to the EVM? Do the communication errors clear if you use a different cable?

The EVM will scan the sample as deeply as light will penetrate.

Regarding the distance between sample and lens, please refer to page 14 of the DLP NIRscan Nano User's Guide. The guide specifies that the sample should be placed directly against the sapphire window to reduce any SNR issues.

    Kind regards,

    Austin
