DLPLCRC410EVM: D4100Explorer-2.0-windows-installer.exe installation error

Part Number: DLPLCRC410EVM

D4100Explorer-2.0-windows-installer.exe error

The installer keeps giving me an error msg: "Error running Post Install Script. The installation may have not completed correctly".

I've tried two different PCs with this same error. I've also tried reboot my system. I still don't see the board showing up in my device manager. Please help.

    Hello Ray,

    I am sorry for the issue you are having.  Please first "uninstall" the program if it shows as installed.

    Then search for Microsoft VCREDIST installer.  You will need to get the 32-bit version of the VCREDIST installer, regardless of the Windows OS bit level, since the program is 32-bit.

    In my experience the 2010 version seems to do the trick.  We cannot distribute it with the original program, because the Microsoft redistribution license only allows us to provide the version that the program itself was written under.

    Once you install the VCREDIST 2010 32-bit version, re-boot and attempt the install the GUI once again.  Typically this solves the issue.
