DLP471TEEVM: 240Hz refresh rate

Hi Morigushi-san,

It's difficult to tell where the issue is given the number of variables here, but in general the DLPC7540 should support 1080p, 240 Hz. I'm not sure of your hardware setup, but perhaps check that the port and cable you are using can support this?

Hi Moriguchi-san,

The DLPC7540EVM kit comes with the a front end board with an IT6807 front end chipset from from ITE. https://www.ite.com.tw/en/product/view?mid=145

You will need the correct EDID for 240 Hz, 1080p, which you should get from ITE

I used an HDMI 2.0b cable.

I used that cable to connect the DLP7540 to the GPU (2080super).

I checked nvidia-setting and I can only select 60Hz, 50Hz or 24Hz at 1080p.

In conclusion, I could not achieve 240Hz only by connecting DLP7540 and GPU directly using HDMI2.0b cable. Please let me know your solution.

Hi Moriguchi-san,

The EDID supplies the necessary information to detect the supported frame rates, so this will need to be updated on the IT6807 device.

We are currently using CentOS 7 as our OS.

If you are seeing other frame rates supported, then it's not likely an issue with the OS. I'm also checking if we have any way of getting this to you directly
