DLPLCR4500EVM: Suddenly Stop projecting

Hi,

My customer encountered with our DLP device, please see details below

 I want to know how to check if my DLP Ligthcrafter 4500 is not broken internally. My DLP Lightcrafter 4500 was properly working, but then it stopped projecting an image. The fan works but there is no LED blinking on the board. Does this mean that it can not operate correctly? The GUI software is recognizing the DLP (Green light in "Connected") but somehow I can not make the DLP to show any image. What should I do?

    Hi May,

    Welcome back to the E2E forum and thank you for your interest in DLP technology!

    I have a few questions to begin our debug:

    1. Are you able to successfully perform a Get or Read command with the EVM?
    2. What are the status of the indicators in the System Control block in the upper left of the GUI?
    3. Does a system reset change any behavior of the unit?
    4. Are you able to manually set an LED and current in the LED Current and LED Selection blocks (upper right) of the GUI?

    Hello May,

    If you are able to see the connected status in GUI. then the bootloader is fine and you should be able to flash with it. 

    To ensure the that flash image is not corrupted, Please try to communicate the above steps mentioned by Austin and if you are not able to communicate then the flash image could have been corrupted. So I request you to please update the flash image.
