DLPLCR4500EVM: Brightness fluctuation

Part Number: DLPLCR4500EVM

Hi Team,

Use the DLPLCR4500EVM to illuminate the object.

In Pattern Sequence Mode, we set the following pattern to continue with a single pattern with 60 FPS.

In this case, while the pattern is being irradiated, it is expected to be irradiated with constant brightness.
Actually, there is a brightness fluctuation of 17-18 Hz as follows.

We want to decrease the brightness fluctuation since about 10% of it would effect the measurement.
Is there any way to suppress this amount of brightness fluctuation on DLPLCR4500EVM setting?

Beat Regards,
Tom Liu

  • Hello Tom,

Welcome back to the E2E forum and thank you for your interest in DLP technology!

There are a couple of questions that I need cleared up to address this:

    1. How is this waveform being measured? Is this with a photo-detector or through some other method?
    2. From your first screenshot it appears that this pattern is being sourced from a video port. Is the same behavior seen when using an internal, all white pattern?

    Regards,

    Austin
