DLP3010EVM-LC: EVM HDMI Connection Cannot Recognized by GUI

Part Number: DLP3010EVM-LC

Hello E2E Experts,

Good day.

I have a dlp 3010 LC and trying to connect via hdmi. Using the GUI the pc does not detect the projector. Is there another application I should install if I want to use the hdmi instead of the usb connection? Could you guide me on how to establish the connection?

the GUI only reads the controller info and doesn't access the rest of the data. The same goes for the version information. I only get the GUI version info and nothing else. The message is the one I sent you before. and EVM status is saying not connected.

This is the full set of events I can see through the GUI :

18/05/2022 13:33:38 Get EVM Information Error!
'Read Short Status' command execution failed.
Error Details: Please make sure that the system is connected, powered on, and the settings are correct.
18/05/2022 13:33:38 Warning! EVM DMD Device ID does not match GUI Product ID!
18/05/2022 13:33:38 Get Video Information Error!
'Read Operating Mode Select' command execution failed.
Error Details: Please make sure that the system is connected, powered on, and the settings are correct.

Switch to external video does not work, since the device is not detected.

I am able to see the projector as a second monitor to the computer, it exists and works, but I am not able to detect it through the GUI. the message is EMV status: Not connected.

Now if I go to the advanced settings, I should set the operating mode to are external video port, right? This is the HDMI connection? if so, it is still not recognized by the GUI, while it is recognized as a second monitor by the computer.

I hope you can help me with this. Thank you in advance.

  • Hell User,

Welcome to the E2E forum and thank you for your interest in DLP technology!

Can you confirm that you have installed the latest GUI from the DLP3010EVM-LC product page? When this was installed was the Cypress driver also downloaded and installed? The Cypress driver is needed to establish communication between the GUI and EVM. If this was not installed with the GUI download, please do so and let us know if the issue is corrected by selecting the Resolved button attached to this post.

    Regards,

    Austin
