DLP4500NIR: DLP LightCrafter4500 to DLP4500NIRFQD connection

Part Number: DLP4500NIR

Hello,

I'm trying to connect the electric board of DLP LightCrafter4500 to DLP4500NIRFQD.

I know I have to make a new flex cable because the pin configuration is different between them.

The solution I come up with is that I just make a cable that has  AXT680124 at both ends.

One end connects to the electric board of DLP LightCrafter4500 and another connects to the PCB which works as conversion of pin configuration to the DLP4500NIRFQD.

Does this work well?

Regards,

Kokoro

  • Hello Kokoro-san,

Welcome back to the E2E forum!

I would like to stress the need to confirm the signal routing between the PCB and DMD. As well all the specifications listed in section 11 of the DLP4500NIR datasheet and the DLPC350 datasheet will need to be met. In particular, please note the flex considerations:

If these are met there should not be any additional considerations that will prevent the interface from working, but I am confirming with the team.

    Regards,

    Austin

  • Hello Kokoro-san,

Outside of the recommendations that I have mentioned already, please be sure to meet all requirements specified in the DLPC350 datasheet.  In particular, please not Section 11.1.7.3 which explains the Routing Constraints minimum and maximum length for the DMD interface. Recommendations laid out here, like the maximum 2 vias per signal, are recommendations for the entire signal path.

    Regards,

    Austin
