Referring to page 9 of the schematic diagram. Number D4 uses ST's STPS1045BY-TR. What is the main function of this material here? Why is such a large current needed? And the following D2/D3/D5 do not need such a large current?

Hi,
It is a fly-back diode to protect the LED driver circuitry and PFET Q3. When the LED_ON signal (coming from pin 19) of the TMS320F28023PTQ is turned off, L2 will keep current flowing and it flips from coming from Q3 to coming from D4.
The other 3 diodes do not see the drive current and thus don't have a high current rating.
