DLPC3435: 600MHz EMI Issues

Part Number: DLPC3435

Hello TI Team,

we are testing our product in radiated EMI precompliance tests and cannot seem to eliminate a persistent 600MHz radiated peak in far field. By disabling all other IC operations we were able to isolate the source of the peak to the DLPC controllers. (I have not yet managed to probe the DLPC near fields)

I think the 600MHz is caused either by the 5th harmonic of 120MHz, (DMD LS Interface clock frequency), or by the HS SubLVDS DDR Interface. Have you ever seen these 600MHz peaks in other customers' projects and can you give any advice about the cause?

Thank you,

Daniels

  • Hello Daniels,

Welcome to DLP forum and thank you for your interest DLP technology.

You observation is very likely correct.   I would suspect that HD bus is likely cause for 600 MHz Our customers have addressed similar issues mostly with improving flex cable design (ground plane on outsides) and adding shields.

    regards,

    Vivek
