The DLP headlight requires expects either a 24-bit Parallel RGB or OpenLDI video signal (at 1152x576 resolution with a 60Hz frame rate). To your point, the video data host is not part of the DLP headlight chipset, as this video data typically comes from the ECU or an intermediate application processor. There are a variety of third-party companies that can help to develop the video data side of the solution. The DLP5531LEQ1EVM is equipped with an HDMI-to-Parallel24Bit converter on the formatter board. This allows you to use your PC as the video data source to emulate what the ECU or application processor would be doing in the vehicle.

DLP Composer and DLP Control Program currently do not include any feature support image skewing or keystone correction. The content will need to be skewed in-advance by the ECU or application processor.
