DLP650TEEVM: Possibility to save and display internal images from evaluation controller board RAM?

Part Number: DLP650TEEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC7540EVM, DLPC7540

Hello,

i am curious about the product DLP650TEEVM. As far as i know, it should be compatible with two different driver boards, such as DLPC7540EVM and DLPC4422EVM.

So, for those driver boards, is any of them to be possible to presave some small sized images to there RAM and display it with external trigger? Or even other driver board?

The requirements of mine:

- corner illuminated DMD chip

- external trigger to display presaved images (not binary)

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Haoran

  • Hello Haoran,

The DLP650TEEVM only works with the DLPC7540 controller and EVM board. The HSSI interface between the controller and the DMD allows for a compact package for the DMD and an integrated front end that reduces the system bill of materials (BOM).

The 0.65 4K UHD DMD is indeed corner illuminated.

The functionality of the DLPC7540 EVM can be reviewed in the User's Guide, and the literature number on ti.com is dlpu109. The main application for this chipset is for display functionality, so in general the functionality will be different than light control or industrial functionality which tends to have more trigger controls.

Please let us know if you have additional questions on the functionality of this chipset.

    Regards,

    Matt
