    Hi Cherry,

    It looks like communication is working as expected but at some point you're issuing a short status read without completing it. Can you clear the short status error bits:

    and then read short status again and see if you're still seeing an error? If so, we may want to log all SPI transactions and see what's happening earlier to cause the error.
