DLPC350: Maximum distance between DLPC350 and projecting module DLP4500

Hi everyone,

I wondering how long could be the data lines between a DLPC350 and the DLP4500?

TI development kit called DLPLCR4500EVM Lightcrafter is a stacking between two board using a short flex to connect each other.

Is it possible to use a 1 meter cable between DLPC350 and the DLP4500?

    Welcome to DLP forum and thank you for your interest in DLP technology.

    Please refer to the section 11.1.7.3 Routing constrains (page 39) of DLp4500 DMD datasheet:

    The maximum length for  DMDD(23:0), DMD_DCLK etc is 75 mm. This trace  length is from DLPC350 controller pin to DMD pin. This will be the limiting factor  for flex cable length.

    You may be able marginally increase this length by meeting the timing constrains with some improved design but not by 10X.
