DLPM2000EVM: Works when powered up on its own, D3 blinking when with beaglebone

Part Number: DLPM2000EVM

I have the DLP connected on a 5V 3Amps power supply and shows the default screen when it is not connected with the beaglebone black. In the beginning it worked fine with the beaglebone. Now, out of the blue, it doesn't show anything and the D3 led is blinking, whereas D2 is off. I can connect to the beaglebone but the DLP does not show anything. Any ideas?

Thanks

  • Hello Dimitrios,

Welcome to the E2E forum! Thank you for your business.

A few questions: Have you flashed the latest eMMC "Flasher" Debian image onto your Beaglebone Black (BBB) and completed the setup process? And are you powering the DLP2000EVM and BBB separately? A single 5V power supply connected to the EVM is not enough to drive both the BBB and the LEDs of the EVM. Either the BBB and EVM get their own 5V power supplies or the EVM gets a 5V power supply while the BBB is connected to your computer via USB. Here is a great Quick Start tutorial. Let me know if you have any more questions.

    Best,

    Maxine
