Hello everyone,

We have developed DLP4710 projector on the basis of DLP4710EVM-LC.

Now I need to update flash image by adding batchfile.

I can make batch file using advanced of DLP4710 GUI 2.2.0.6.

But after I update the firmware using the batch file, DLP4710 projector start up failed and GUI could not connect to the projector.

Is there any error I have made or whether other step is must do.

Thank you for your interest in DLP technology.

Can you tell me what version of the FW you are using?

With stock FW did your board work correctly?

Thank you for your reply.

The DLPC3479 FM version I am using is 8.1.0 download from TI website.

With 8.1.0 and 8.0.0 FM, my board works correctly.

But after update the firmware with batch file, my DLP4710 board could not work and EVM status is connected and powered off.

According to my experience, the batch file of DLP3010 using update flash firmware must add start code.

Perhaps it also need some start code with the batch file for DLP4710 firmware update.

If the start code is needed, could you provide me them?

Or is there some docment to guide me make batch file for DLP3479?

Hello Yang,

This can be corrupted FW. In that case the FW should be reflashed to the EVM. I would recommend that this is done in the EVM standby mode when updating FW. The EVM does not need to be projecting to get the GUI to flash it again.

When the GUI can't connect to your board what status are the controllers in? On the EVM we have two LEDs that are on when the controllers have made it past initialization. Are the controllers making it past the initialization state? Can you send a photo of the failed connection message as well?

Thanks for your help.

Your are right that two LEDs of my board are on which proved the controllers have past initialization.

Also the board entry standby mode when updating FM with batch file.

But this is not a ideal starting mode.

I attempt to change start mode to other such as splash or interal pattern using batch file, but it is still standby when power on.

Is there any other way to config start mode is normal mode?

There seems to be a bug with this feature. There are no current fixes. We will have to resolve in the future.

It was confirmed that the issue that you reported got fixed recently and the release is currently under validation cycle. Please keep an eye out for the upcoming release which will fix this issue.
