DLPLCRC900DEVM: Manufacturing Data

Part Number: DLPLCRC900DEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPLCR67EVM,

Hello,

I have downloaded manufacturing data from your website for DLPLCRC900DEVM and DLPLCR67EVM evaluation boards

There is missing some important information

Can you please supply me with the Pick and Place data for those 2 evaluation boards and also with the proper layer stackup having all prepreg and core material thicknesses?

Best regards,

Timur

  • Hi Timur,

We can work on providing these files this week.

Are you going to be building boards per our specifications? Will you be making any alternate part selections? Finding a steady supply of parts has been a challenge through the pandemic. We might be able to help with component reviews.

    Regards,

    Matt

  • Hello Matt,

Yes, we would like to build board per your specification

We will try to keep the same BOM, as you have without changing any active parts

    Best regards,

    Timur

  • Timur,

After talking to our team here, I have the following for you.  They believe that the information you need is there, but may need some clarification and details as to where in the files it is located:

    • For the DLPLCRC900DEVM the XY data is in a file called DLP-30246-02xy.rpt in the DLPR089 PCB package.
    • For the DLPLCR67EVM the XY data is in a file called DLPLCR67EVM_ASCII.txt in the DLPR074a PCB package.

Regarding the stack up, we typically do not specify the detailed layer thickness for every component, rather we specify a board material (ISOLA FR-370HR in this case) and the copper layer thicknesses and the trace width/spacing for various impedances for each layer and an overall board thickness  It is up to the board fab shop to ensure they meet the target impedances when fabricating the PCBs.

For the DLPLCRC900DEVM in the fab.gbr.pdf the copper thickness for various impedances shows:

With note 3: "Board material shall be 180 Tg/350 Td ISOLA FR-370HR or equivalent.  RoHS compliant and Lead Free assembly capable.  Board material shall meet or exceed IPC-4101B.  Color: Natural."

For the DLPLCR67EVM in the FLPLCR67EVM_FAB.pdf and the format is different (probably from a different board shop):

With the same note: "Board material shall be 180 Tg/350 Td ISOLA FR-370HR or equivalent.  RoHS compliant and Lead Free assembly capable.  Board material shall meet or exceed IPC-4101B.  Color: Natural."
