I know the wavelength range of the 6500 DMD is specified out to 700 nm, but how much of a problem would it be to illuminate the chip with 1 watt at 775 nm?

Hello Jim,
Although it is outside of the data sheet specs and not guaranteed as such, I don't anticipate any real issue at only 1 watt, with a couple of stipulations -

Hello Fizix
Thanks for the quick rep[ly. On the overfilling, I use a high power white light LED system for another application and I overfill the array so as to get more uniformity across the active area. I have never seen an issue with this. Should I make a rectangular mask to place in front of the chip?
Jim
Jim,
At 1 watt, probably not, but it will not hurt.
