DLP2010EVM-LC: Display image through USB with DLPC API

Part Number: DLP2010EVM-LC

Hi,

I'd like to know if it is possible to display custom generated images in real time with the DLP2010EVM, using the DLPC API with USB connection only, without using the HDMI channel (we can only connect the USB cable).

Thanks for any answer / solution!

Cheers!

  • Hello User,

Thank you for your interest is DLP technology!

This depends on how many images and what you want for your use case. Do you intend to use the Display features of the EVM or the Light Control features?

How many images are you wanting to show and will they be in full color or can they be in monochrome (R/G/B)?

    Regards,

    John

  • Hi John,

I want to display custom RGB images at 10 to 20 fps, but it seems that it is only possible from HDMI, right?

    Thanks and regards

    Eric

  • Hello Eric,

We have splash images that can be changed. Depending on the file size of the image you can have four images and set a script to rotate through them. You are limited to those images. If you want to change them then another FW img with the new content would need to be flashed.

Other than that, for your case, you would need the HDMI input.

    Regards,

    John
