DLP3310: Augmented reality

Hi Team,

I wanted to ask if DLPDLCR3310EVM  and DLPDLCR230NPEVM can be used for augmented reality. both DMDs and the DLP3310 and DLP230N are pico devices however they are not in the recommended list.

Can you confirm and explain why?

    Hello Marvin,

    While the DLP3310 and DLP230NP can be used for Augmented Reality, it is not recommended. The actuation mechanisms of these two DMDs are bulkier and have a higher power requirement than the other chipsets listed. The recommended chipsets for AR are those that are optimized for the requirements of near-eye, wearable technology.
