DLP2010LC: difference between DLP2010 and DLP2010LC

Part Number: DLP2010LC
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP2010, DLPC3430, DLPC3470

Hi

We are now using DLP2010 for 3D application

However, we dont have DLP2010LC on hand.
but we have DLP2010.   So my question is can we use DLP2010 frist to evaluate mechical, thermal and optical performance.
in eariler stage of development.

Actually, Ti FAE told us that there is no difference between DLP2010LC and DLP2010,
as far as mechical, thermal and optical performance are concerned.
Just want to make sure, if this is ture, please help reply, thanks.

  • Hello User,

Welcome to the E2E forum and thank you for your interest in DLP® technology!

The DLP2010 and the DLP2010-LC are quite similar. However, I should mention that the DLP2010 needs to be paired with the DLPC3430 and the DLP2010-LC needs to be paired with the DLPC3470. Otherwise the firmware will not complete the initialization process.

If the primary purpose for your question is to characterize the DLP2010-LC by using the DLP2010, I will confirm with our component team that this will be a valid test. I want to be sure that the plan is not to use one in place of the other in a system.

    Kind regards,

    Austin

  • Hi User,

I have gotten some feedback from our team. Testing the DLP2010 in place of the DLP2010LC should work well for the characteristics you have mentioned. You will, however, need the appropriate board and software to drive the DMD for testing.

Is the major point gating your ability to test the DLP2010LC the lack of a board or software for the system or the ability to acquire the DMD?

    Regards,

    Austin
