DLP5530Q1EVM: External Video - Ext_OLDI_1_1152X576

Part Number: DLP5530Q1EVM

Hi experts,

Now customer use DLP Composer to configure 5530EVM boot display. When I select display ->batch command set ->external video - ext_ oldi_ 1_ 1152x576. Burn the firmware. After power on again, the DLP5530 is in standby mode. You need to switch its mode to display through the DLP230 control software before you can launch the screen normally. Whether there is a configuration that allows the DLP5530 to directly display external video sources without switching modes through control software after power on.

Thanks~

  • Hello -

I suspect that the OLDI interface is not active by the time the DLPC230 initializes and tries to display the OLDI video. My recommendation is to add some delay to the DLP Composer project:

    1)  On the Display page, set default Operating Mode to Standby

    2)  Also on the Display page, set the default source Batch Command Set to desired External Video.

    3)  On the Batch Command Sets page, select the Auto-init Command Set 0, and add two commands:

    • 0x22 Execution Delay - set this to a value that will allow enough time for the OLDI interface to become active (3000 ms is just an example)
    • 0x03 - Operating Mode - Display

    4) Re-build the DLP Composer project, and Flash Program the new .bin file with the Control Program GUI.

    Regards,

    Ross
