DLPC7540EVM: Do I need the DLPA100?

Part Number: DLPC7540EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPA100, DLPC7540

Hi,

I am working on a DLPC7540 controller board for the DLP651 DMD.  Do I really need a DLPA100 if I have no need for motor control?  I see that the power sequencing is not even included in the DLPA100, so it feels like it is only used for the various power supplies.

Also, is there a need for an external MCU to send a "park" command over I2C when power fails?

Thanks,

Paul
