Hi Team,

A customer has a query on change the DMD of EVM as below.

We have limited experience on this issue.

Can you please me to verify it?

We have a DLP3010EVM LC. We wanted to taken out its DMD for our experimental purpose so that an external light source(laser) should reflect a pattern that we've loaded. We modified that and given the connections. But the DLP is not powering on. May I know if the pattern we have added by replacing the existing splash pattern is still be visible even if the DLP is not turning on?

We just took out the DMD inside and given the connections back(Flex cable)

Hello Frank,

The DLP controller firmware checks the DMD, PMIC and LED connections at power up. If any of these is not connected, the system would not power up properly.

If the customer use the main/display boards from the EVM, in order to load the pattern and project images, the system needs to power up.
