DLP9000: Maximum operating temperature of T_array

Part Number: DLP9000

Hi Team,

Can you please help us with our customer's inquiry below.

I am curious about the DLP9000 versus the DLP9000X. The datasheet states that the maximum operating temperature T_array is 40C for the DLP9000X, regardless of its landed duty cycle. I was wondering the reason why this is? Was extensive thermal testing not done for the DLP9000X the same way it was done for the DLP9000?

Regards,

Danilo

  • Hello Danilo,

The DLP9000X has a higher VCC voltage and VCCI current and operates at 480 MHz rather than 400 MHz compared to the DLP9000.  Thermal testing with the 9000X indicated that the max array temperature should be held to the 40 degrees C shown in the data sheet operating conditions.
