DLPC900: Video pattern mode sync

Hello Support Team!
I would like to synchronize the video pattern sequence to the motion.
Can i offsetting the vsync signal from IT6535 to gpu? In Video pattern mode would be the best solution if the gpu wait for the first frame vsync signal from IT6535 and the IT6535 digital reciever will start when receives an external trigger signal. Can this be solved or delay the vsync time?Can i delay buffered frame compared to vsync?

    Hello Trapp,

    The sync signals come from the GPU to the IT6535 receiver and are not triggered by the DLPC900.  The external triggers are not available in Video Mode or in Video Pattern Mode.

    For Video Pattern Mode any synchronization of video data will need to be done on the PC side before sending data from the GPU.

    Could you provide more detail about what you are trying to do to see if there is a solution we might be able to suggest.  When you say you want to synchronize "to the motion", what motion are you trying to synchronize to, and what is the general application?

    Hello Fizix!
    Thanks for answering.You answer helped me a lot.
    We working on a direct imaging machine.
    When machine in motion arrives at a given point, the machine send trigger signal.
    I would like to start the pattern sequence at a given time within precision two hundred microseconds after the trigger signal.
    I have attached 3 files for illustration my problem.
    The channel 1 is lpt port's one digital output, the channel 2 is trigger out 2 signal on the p1,p2 pictures.
    I created  a series of bit-planes.I set lpt port's digital output after I started the pattern by software from usb. (see p1)
    I connected the lpt port's digital out to the trigger in 1 and i started the pattern with the lpt signal.(see p2)
    You can see in the pictures that the start of the pattern is delayed in both cases and this delay time not always the same amount.
    Do you have a solution for this?

    Hello again Trapp,

    Is this a fixed series of patterns or dynamically generated patterns? If fixed and under 400 1-bit patterns, then Pre-stored pattern mode might suit your needs better.

    Hello!
    I must use dynamically generated patterns. Pre-stored pattern mode work perfect ,but 400 1-bit pattern not enough. I use dmd6500.

    Hello Trapp,

    Regrettably the Video based modes are not set up to use the input trigger system since the sync takes the place of the trigger and in any video system is coming in continuously and are not designed to wait in this fashion.
