DLPLCR65EVM: DMD that supports 780nm laser

Hi Team,

Our customer will use a DMD with a 780nm laser and is looking for a controller and DMD (no optics) that fits their 1200 euro budget. I have checked our product lines but it seems that we don't have a DMD that supports 780nm laser. Can he use DLPLCR65EVM and DLPLCRC900EVM with a 780nm laser?

    Danilo,

    The DLP6500 DMD does not support >700 nm per the data sheet.  Use outside of the data sheet specifications voids any warranty.  

    Have they considered the https://www.ti.com/product/DLP4500NIR DMD?  They can also look at offerings from companies like Dli, ViALUX, and others.

    Customers have used EVM's for testing outside the data sheet specifications, but they assume all responsibility.
