DLP3010EVM-LC: Permanent parameters

Part Number: DLP3010EVM-LC

Hi Experts!

I have installed DLP-EVM-GUI-3.1.0.7-Setup.exe. Then I connect the DLP Evaluation Module (DLP3010EVM-LC) and go to 'Display Settings' options from de Display Menu. And when I change values and select 'Set' option the projected image change.

But when I switch off the projector and switch it on again there are restored the default values.

How can I change the values permanently?

Thank you in advance for the support.

Best regards,

Leticia

  • Hello Leticia,

If you want to change the startup display settings, then you will need to modify settings in the flash image by using Firmware -> Edit Firmware tool in GUI. Please refer to the section 4.4.3 in the DLP Display and Light Control EVM GUI Tool User Guide

Once you have finished building the custom flash image, you will need to re-flash the EVM by using Firmware -> Flash Firmware.

Please note that there are some issues with the Edit Firmware tool that our team is working on fixing. We will release a new GUI version as soon as we can.

    Regards,

    Lori

  • Hi,

I realized that option, but I can't change for example keystone values in any step:

Where can I change Display Settings values? Do I have to create a batch file?

  • Hi Leticia,

Yes, if you want to change these startup settings which are not listed in the Edit Firmware tool, then you will need to create a batch file and generate the custom image file. Please refer to the DLPC3478 Software Programmer's Guide for these I2C commands.

However, as I mentioned before, we are facing some issues with the Edit Firmware tool and working on fixing the tool. You may have issue when you use batch file and generate it into the image file.

Please let me know if you have more questions.

    Regards,

    Lori

  • Hi Lori,

We reported this issue to our customer and he reports that programming the values each reboot is getting a bit inconvenient for him. Could you please give me an approximate date of when we could program these values permanently from your gui application?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Leti
  • Hello Leticia,

The team is still working on a fix and will release the new version of the GUI after finishing the validation process. However, I don't have a date for the new version.

I can check with the team on how we can better support this feature and get back to you next week.

    Regards,

    Lori

  • Hello Leticia,

After checking with the team, we are working on a fix of the new version of the GUI which included the fix of the Edit Firmware tool.

Please expect the new version of the GUI to be released.

    Regards,

    Lori
