DLP4710EVM-LC: Need to change LED Board for DLPC4710EVM-LC

Part Number: DLP4710EVM-LC
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPA3005

Hi,

i have a custom Optics design based on LED used in DLP5530PGUQ1EVM Optical module | TI.com

The MPN of LED used in 5530 design is

Any how these LEDs are not available i have chosen the OSRAM "LED LE CG Q8WP" for my design needs

From 5530 EVM manual i have understood that the board can provide LED current maximum up to 6A

Now I have Full HD video Requirment to be displayed, so i cannot use the 5530 Design . To mitigate this i have shifted to DLPC4710 EVK

In short i want to use the above said LEDs with DLP4710EVM-LC Evaluation board | TI.com  i purchased

But the LEDs used in 4710 EVM are very high power LEDs, so if i interface the 5530 LEDs to 4710EVK they would damage the LEDs

I am in process of making a LED board to suit the DLP4710EVM-LC Evaluation board | TI.com , kindly let me know if there is any way on 4710 Board i can hard wire any hardware to limit the current of all LEDS from 12-16A to 6A maximum ?

From Schematics i understood its R595 Resistor present near DLPA3005 which is currently 9mOhm is trying to limit the current from DLPC4710 EVK,

what should be the value of R595 to be changed to limit the DLPC4710 Board current limit to 6A from 16A ?

From the Datasheet of DLPA3005 i understood that the limiting resistor is calculated from below formula

To limit the current to 6A, i may need to use a 25mOhm resistor ?

should i need to change anything else also along with Rlim ?

up on using DLPC4710 Software to maximum intensity limit will it not affect the hardware ?

if nothing goes bad i wish to replace the existing 9mOhm resistor to 25mOhm, kindly throw your comments.
