DLP6500FLQ: How fast it can switch between two patterns?

Hi Experts,

Our customer is using DLP6500 right now with external trigger, he would like to how fast it can switch between two patterns.

He is using it to project different optical patterns, he just wants to know how much time it takes to switch between the first and second pattern.

    Hello Gerald,

    The fastest switch is 105 us for 1-bit patterns on the DLP6500 (FYE or FLQ) using the DLPLCRC900EVM..

    If you add an input trigger then that adds another 105 us since the system loads an all off  pattern to display while waiting for the next input trigger.

    You can measure on an oscilloscope the output on Trigger Out 1 with and without Input trigger to determine the time between pattern displays.  Slowly reduce the time between input triggers until no longer works correctly.  With input trigger enabled I expect about 210 us.

    Hello again Gerald,

    I realized that the timing may be ambiguous.  The 210 us is to display and be ready for the next trigger.  To display both patterns with an input trigger for each will take 420 us. I hope that 

    Without input triggers, you can use the output triggers and it will take 210 us to display both patterns.
