DLP4710EVM-LC: How can I centre the projected image along the vertical axis

Hello Forum,

I am currently testing a setup with the projector and two cameras on each (left/right side), for the optical layout is convenient to have the height of the projected image centre along the horizontal and vertical axis. Nevertheless, according to the projector design this is not by default.

There is a way to modify the projection offset so the projected image can be aligned?

Hello Luis,

The DLP4710EVM-LC has a default 100% offset for the optical module, so it would not be able to meet your requirement as the above image.

Hello Lori,

Is there a way to use the Keystone correction, so we can try to overcome this issue by tilting (pitch) the projector.

Hello Luis,

Since the offset setting is a designed parameter of the optical module, it can not be changed. For your use case, you will need a 0% offset optical engine. You can use DLP-OMM-SEARCH tool to find the optical that meet your requirement.

The keystone correction is performed on the software, unfortunately, the DLPC3479 does not support keystone capabilities.

Just an additional question, which EVM supports this feature and came out off the shell? Similar to the DLP4710EVM-LC.

Hello Luis,

The DLP3010EVM-LC will support 1D keystone commands. The optical engine for this EVM is also at 100% offset as well. Keystone will not work with the light control settings.
