Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPLCR4500EVM
Hello,
I am currently working on a project, in which I am using python and MATLAB to communicate with the DLP4500EVM, based on the source code of the GUI provided on your website. I would like to send images from my computer to the LightCrafter for it to display, without using the HDMI connection, but only the USB one. In the GUI source code there are functions to be used in programming mode, including one to upload data to the LightCrafter. I would like to have confirmation that it is possible to send and store images to the LightCrafter that way, without re-uploading the entire firmware in the GUI, and in that case, which address in the memory should be set, and what procedure should be followed regarding the commands to be used. Otherwise if not possible that way, could perhaps recommend another ? I know of this thread https://e2e.ti.com/support/dlp-products-group/dlp/f/dlp-products-forum/198396/matlab-and-dlp-lightcrafter-load-static-image and this related project https://github.com/fglichttechnik/TI-DLP-LightCrafter that allow to send bmp images to the LightCrafter, however without actually uploading the image to the flash memory it seems. So would it be possible to do this with the DLP4500EVM as well, since it is close to what I want to do in MATLAB, however not with the same model of LightCrafter I am currently using, as it appears to be using a different connection protocol (TCP/IP instead of USB for my model).
Thank you in advance for your time and your answer.
Respectfully
