DLP3030-Q1: DLP3030- LED Over Voltage, Over Current protection

Hello Team,

We are developing HUD product using DLP3030 and we need to implement LED over voltage over current protection mechanism in our software.

As per the below thread, it seems LED current and voltage cannot be read properly and at hardware level some design is implemented.

Our question is, if we implement the LED over current protection at the hardware level, when it hits that condition what is the state of DLP, will it enter to standby mode or park mode or power off?

in any of the above, how do we know from software, LED over current or over voltage scenario occurred?

Could you please help to check and suggest on priority?

Hello Sundar,

We do not have any other functionality available as the LED current and voltage read command is not functioning correctly at this time.

Our team will be looking into debugging the LED current and voltage read command with priority but that may take some time.

Thanks for the response.

This LED Voltage and Current monitoring is important for HUD diagnostics, Please help to provide inputs on this as much as possible.

if there is no plan to fix this, please let us know, so that we can consider to put this feature as a limitation.

Hi Sundar,

There is not a standby mode or park mode that is triggered off LED current.

FYI, we don't have a short plan to fix the LED current and voltage read command. Sorry for any inconvenience.
