DLP4710: how to adjust exposure time in internal mode through i2c protocol

I want to adjust the exposure time through i2c protocol in internal mode, but I cannot find the address of the register. Now I can only set the exposure time of the projector to project pattern in internal mode by loading the pattern and exposure time into flash. Can I adjust the exposure time without loading patterns into flash in internal mode? It would be better to control through i2c protocol.

Hello,

According to the DLPC3479 Software Programmer's Guide (link here), you can adjust these timings through I2C command Write Pattern Configuration (96h). Section 3.5 Light Control Commands goes into more detail on how to setup each pattern mode.

I tried this method, but the exposure time has not been changed. I set different exposure time in advanced (both batch command and light control), but it did not work. The exposure time is still the same as the exposure time which I load with pattern set into flash.

Hello user,

You won't be able to change the exposure time setting on fly. You will need to follow the Internal pattern mode commands in order which means you need to configure the exposure timing before you running the internal pattern mode.

Do you mean that I have to rewrite the flash of the DLP board every time when I have to change the exposure time of the internal pattern mode?

Hello,

We mean that you need to send all of the required commands(as described in the guide above) in order each time you'd like to update the timings. You should not have to reflash the pattern each time.
