DLP6500FYE: Why when the display is stoped (pattern on the fly mode), there still a fringe display on the DMD

Part Number: DLP6500FYE
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC900
As the picture shows, when the display is stoped (pattern on the fly mode), there still a fringe display on the DMD, Thx. When a group of pictures are loaded to display, the same fringe pattern also acts as a background intensiy. I wanna to know how to get rid of this.
Thx
  • Hello Yi Wang,

Do you see the same 'fringe pattern' when you display an Internal Test Pattern?

Looks like some of the data lines are not displayed. This might be due to a loosely connected flex cable and some of the pins on the flex cable might not be seated correctly onto the DLPC900 flex cable pad. Please try to tighten the screws on either end of flex cable. Also, check if the DMD is properly seated in the socket.

Let me know if this does not help.

    Thank you,

    With regards,
    Aishwarya
