Dear all. I have a few inquiries regarding DLP2021LEQ1EVM that I would like to ask:

1. According to the User Guide, it is mentioned that users can change the projection pattern by inputting the command through the DLP Control Program. The default setting plays a racing video, but when I followed the instructions in the User Guide and inputted the command , the display appeared to be abnormal.

 

2. I would like to know if the Sample Code downloaded from the provided link is the current factory code for the FLASH in the development version

3.If I understand correctly, to project a custom image, I need to program the FLASH using DLP Composer and then select the pattern using the DLP Control Program. Is my understanding correct?

4.Can the DLP2021LEQ1EVM only handle pre-stored images, or is it also capable of projecting in real-time?

    Responding to your questions:

    1) Yes, you can change the projection pattern by updating the start address and the number of frames fields. If you are using the address values provided from the user's guide or example code, the address may be out of date (the values shown in your screen capture of the .py file are out of date). Based on the erroneous display image you are showing in the "After Write" image, I suspect the address provided is incorrect. To see the list of addresses associated with each image/video element, refer to the BuildLog_DLP2021_DGP_RGB.html file in the DLP Composer project download or in the BuildLog folder of the DLP Composer project after building. At the very bottom of this file, you will see a list video names and the offset (start address) values listed in hex format.

    2) The project has recently been updated to version 2.0, which is different from the 1.0 version loaded on the EVM, but not in terms of start addresses. Instead, version 2.0 includes sequence database support to build the project files targeting a 60fps instead of just 25fps.

    3) Yes, to update the flash memory content with a new / custom image, you must use DLP Composer tool and import DLP2021LEQ1EVM DLP Composer project. See detailed instructions on this process here (note the video title shows DLP3021, but the procedure is also applicable to the DLP2021):

    4) The DLP2021LEQ1EVM can only handle pre-stored images. For real-time image processing, the DLP3021-Q1 can be used with the DLPC120-Q1.
