DLP9000: How to choose a DLP Size?

Part Number: DLP9000
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP650LNIR, DLPC410

Tool/software:

How do you decide between the DLP micro, pico, nano, standard, and light crafters? I have read the documentation and the getting started pages but I am still confused on heuristics to choose the right one.

I would love to buy your instruments and want to make this work.

What would be the best DLP for medical imaging?

  • Hello Nigel,

Great question.  Your application is a bit broad.  Could you be more specific about what specifically you are trying to image, and what type of imaging?

  • Hello again Nigel,

From your other questions it looks like you are wanting to build a programmable mask for a confocal microscope system.

I recommend searching scientific journals for confocal microscope systems using a DMD.  There is quite a bit of literature out there.  This is not an area that we have a great deal of direct experience with.

  • We are trying to image organ tissue. We want to use IR.

  • Hello Nigel,

We do have a few NIR chips.  The DLP650LNIR comes to mind.  It is driven by an FPGA based controller, the DLPC410.  If you want systems that already have turnkey solutions that have pattern storage you could check our design partners that I pointed to in one of your other posts.  ViALUX or Dli come to mind.

If you want to build your own, you will want to have good designer to design a front end for your system.
