Hi Dubala,
I'm sorry to inform you, but this is not possible with the projection optics that come with this EVM.
This is taken from the DLP5530PROJQ1EVM's user's guide:
The max throw distance is 635 mm.
May I ask why you need a throw distance of 20 ft?
Regards,
Michael Ly
Hi Dubala,
Are you considering an AR HUD type of application that would create a virtual image at 20 ft in front of the windscreen? There are some optical designs that we can share that could achieve this type of application. However, as Michael mentioned, the EVM itself is not cable to achieve this throw distance. IT would require a new projection lens.
Jason
Hi Michael,
Our leadership wants to project some image like any logo at that distance. So could you please share any projection optics design that could be used with the DLP5530Q1EVM
Hi Jason,
Actually the requirement of 20ft is not for AR HUD ,it is like for ground projection of any images ,warnings. could you please share any projection optics design that could be used with the DLP5530Q1EVM
Hi Dubala,
One of my colleagues, Aishwarya, has sent you an email so that we may talk about this offline. Let's move there because there are multiple threads open.
We think it would be good for us to communicate all these ideas via a single channel so we can work together as a team.
Please reply to the email from Aishwarya when you get a chance. This will also allow us to share with you other design and project files in an easier way.
Many thanks,
Michael Ly
Vaishnavi,
I think we have figured out a direction to go.
To quote my email to you after our video call,
If you have any issues along the way, please create a new E2E thread, and we will get back to you. Else, if you must share private information, you may send to my email or send a private message here on E2E.
Thank you,
Michael Ly
