We want to use DLP2010NIR to develope a WSS (Wavelength Selected Switch)，which is used in all-optical communication networks.

However, at present, we are lacking in reference materials concerning the application of DLP devices in WSS.

Could you please provide some documents or reference designs about WSS to us?

Hello Alex,

I am not aware that we have any WSS reference designs or documents. Let me ask around in the group to see if there is anything available.

Typically this DMD has been used in small spectroscopic applications, but a WSS could make sense.

Alex,

After speaking with the team it does not appear we have any collateral on a WSS application for the DLP2010NIR DMD.

I also wanted to bring to your attention that this DMD is not a hermetically sealed DMD. This may affect the environmental requirements.

Hello Alex,

Fizix will respond to this further if there are possibly any reference designs. Fizix et al. doesn't have WSS-related application collateral.

Alex,

Although we do not have WSS collateral, I still recommend looking over the NIRScan Nano collateral that we have, since some of the principals of separating the wavelengths will be similar. As I see it, it will be getting the selected wavelength back into the fiber. Maybe with a circulator.

Beyond that I will keep my eyes open.
